Six Weeks of Yoga and Personal Writing: Beginning January 23rd at Writers and Books

This a picture of a Buddhist monastery in Bhutan, by a friend of mine who went there on a trekking trip a few years ago. It is a sort of place that I have always longed to visit – a far away, mountainous, adventurous trip which would reset my eyes and my mind. Maybe even my spirit. Why don’t I go then? Pack my bags and head to the adventure of my life? That’s an interesting question…Because I have other things to do, no money, no time? Maybe I’m short on these, but definitely not short of excuses!

This and many other important questions are the theme of Yoga and Personal Writing (Into a Meaningful Life) that I am offering through Writers and Books this January. The course is 6 weeks long and consists of 2 hours of yoga practice, meditation and breath practice coupled with your personal writing. It will be a travel adventure – with a guide! I will guide you in exploring what is it that you really want to do, thinking about what do you need more of in your life, and identifying what do you need less of in your life.  We’ll figure out how we would like to live this year by looking into your personal theme of this year. A year of change, of power, of quiet?  I went through several big themes for this year…I think it will be a year of getting unstuck. Ahmmm, we’ll see about that!

We’ll explore the past a bit, we’ll observe the present and then plan the future. It sounds complicated? No, it is not! I have done this for years now, and I can not start the year without this process. It sounds scary? No, it is not! When my friend  Sejal and I listed our last year’s successes, we impressed ourselves how much we achieved. We rocked, as I would eloquently say!

Who is this course for? For people who: want to have focus and direction or who went through a big change in the last period or who want to create a change. For writers, dreamers, thinkers. In a word, it is just the right thing for you!

Thursdays, 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM.
